Feb 24th @ 1 PM: Backyard Vermicompost Class

Come to my home and learn the basics of vermicomposting! You will learn about several different vermicomposting systems, learn about worm habits, how to care for your worms, what they eat and how to keep them safe, how to harvest castings and what to do with them! We will dive inside a worm bin so you can see members soil food web, different states of decomposition, and ask questions to get yourself headed in the right direction. We will meet in my backyard, if it is drizzly we will meet under a canopy, but if it's raining heavily, we will postpone. Bring your gardening gloves! Cost of the class is $30.  You will receive a printed booklet with all the stuff we discussed in class so that you can refer to it at home!  Class is limited to 10 participants.
